Track a Loonie is a budgeting app built around bank CSV exports. Imports detect duplicates and can be undone in one click, and rules sort transactions automatically. Every request is validated and scoped to its user. I built it with a multi-agent Claude Code workflow that writes a feature plan and a test plan before each change.
What I built
- Designed and built a multi-user budget tracking app with a layered architecture that validates every request with Zod and scopes all data by user to keep each account isolated.
- Built a CSV import pipeline with duplicate detection, batch tracking, and one-click undo, plus keyword and regex categorization rules and automatic transfer matching between accounts.
- Implemented auth with NextAuth (Google OAuth and email/password) and opt-in AI categorization using user-supplied Anthropic or OpenAI keys, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
- Wrote about 740 automated tests with Vitest and Playwright, run in GitHub Actions against a containerized PostgreSQL database on every pull request.
- Delivered a mobile-responsive PWA with push reminders scheduled through Vercel Cron, monthly and recurring budgets, trend charts, and full data export and account deletion.
- Set up a multi-agent Claude Code workflow (product manager, architect, UI designer, tester, developer) that writes a feature plan and test plan before each change, shipping 50 merged pull requests.
